Legal Guardian Account Setup

Users will need a legal guardian to approve their account when they are under 13 years old, do not have email accounts of their own, or when their email accounts cannot receive outside emails.

Guardians can manage up to 5 dependents.

To become a Guardian you will need to create a Blocksmith account and then turn your guardian requests ON by accessing your Dashboard, and selecting My Managed Accounts from the sidebar. Click on the "Change" button at the top of the page to start accepting guardian requests.

Signing up as a Managed Account

Users are required to have a legal guardian approve their account if they are under 13 years old. Those over 13 years old are also able to use the guardian system by selecting the checkbox in the Sign Up window that says "I want to sign up without an email address."

The email address field will be replaced with a new field where they can enter a guardian's username. The username they enter will become their guardian once the request has been approved by the guardian. An account will not connect to the guardian's account until it is approved.

Approval Process

The approval process is simple. You just need to:

1. Login to Blocksmithxr.com.

2. Go to your Dashboard and select Managed Users in the sidebar menu under My Account.

3. Select Accept next to users you wish to manage.
