How to Setup a Hub to be Public or Private

When sharing an experience or sharing a model there are two different options.

Privately: Only viewed and/or used by your members.
or
Publicly: Anyone can view and/or use these.

First, decide what you want to do with your hub. They can be Private, Semi-Private, or Public.

Private hub content is only visible to approved members of that workspace.

Semi-private can designate what content is private, and what is available to followers.

Public allows members and followers access to all content.

Only members can publish content to a hub, regardless of the privatization. This is a great way to advertise your hub! One thing to keep in mind when settings up your hub is that only members can publish to your hub.

Tip:

Members: Can view and use ALL experiences and models published to your hub, and can publish to the hub.
Followers: Can view and use experiences and models shared publicly on your hub.

To get started you will need to review your access settings. You can find these settings under Admin Corner in your hub dashboard on the web.

Semi-Private Hubs

All hubs start as "Semi-Private" by default; "Anyone can view experiences and models published as "Public" after administrator approval". This means that you will have to approve any experiences and models that could be viewed/used by your followers.

If you do not want or need to approve every experience that is viewed by non-members select the next option below. "Anyone can view experiences and models published as "Public""

Fully Public Hubs

Do you want anything that is published on your workspace to be free for all? Members and follower? Then select the next option. "Anyone can view all experiences and models. (Remember only members can publish!)

Fully Private Hubs

What about members only? You can totally do that! Just select the first option. "Only members can view experiences and models, following is disabled". You guessed it, following will not be available for non-members if this is turned on.
